German minimum wage
Amongst carriers already involved in international transports we certainly will not find anyone who has not heard of the minimum wage introduced on 1st of January 2015, in Germany, the extent of which is 8.5 euros / hour.
The German authorities carried out a form, which must be reported up to half a year in advance of the planned stay in Germany, split by employees and requesting a number of other data.This completed form must be sent by fax to Germany by the employer, as well as a statement in which the carrier gives a guarantee to pay the hourly wage of 8.5 euros for the duration the employee worked in Germany. The employer must also declare - if the German authorities require it – that several other proof is presented in German language (upon a very short notice) that the actual payments have indeed been made by the German minimum wage payroll, and that in the employment contract is also added that such payment have to be made.
